Freshwaters Consultancy is the Programme Partner for the Cultural Leadership Programme’s Powerbrokers International Leadership Placements. The placements are for cultural and creative industries mid-career leaders of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds seeking to broaden their leadership practice, experience and intercultural competence. The placements are for up to three months and are supported by a bursary of up to £15,000.
The 2009 placements in Brazil and Barbados were awarded to:
Carole Morrison, International Relations Associate, Centro Cultural Sao Paulo, Brazil
Carole will be leading on the development of a new three year plan for international partnerships with the Centro Cultural.
Dawinder Bansal, Marketing and Development Associate Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil – Sao Paulo, Brazil Dawinder will be leading on the extension of the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil’s cultural programme to other locations around Sao Paulo.
Delia Barker, Business Development Associate, Creative and Cultural Industries
Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, The University of the West Indies, BarbadosDelia will be leading on the creation of a strategic plan that will address the dynamics of the emerging creative industries in Barbados.
Asif Khan, Strategic Planning and Development Associate, National Art Gallery Committee, Barbados Asif will be leading on the creation of a strategic plan to establish a new visual art paradigm in Barbados.
